Small encounters in a corner of the universe. Each one full of stories. The collection contains five short stories published in the magazine Aokishi by Makoto Hagino, the author of A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow. In the far future, an android travels far into space. His purpose is to search for "ghosts" of a certain life form that once built an advanced civilization on a planet once called Earth, in the title story. A failed novelist, a high school student biking to school, a new hairdresser, a young monk at a temple, and an android who takes the form of a young boy.
